Wish I had just listened to her CDs

I hadn’t searched for any reviews or video from the past few years, and wish I had. Probably my fault that I accepted that there were no details on the concert on Ticketmaster or her website and bought tickets for four of us. She also only sang a few of her hits (Walk on by, Do you know the way to San Jose, That’s what friends are for) and then Christmas music. The highlight was when her drummer and son, David Elliott, sang during a duet with her, and he really was the highlight to the point that I wish that he had just covered her songs. In a 90 minute concert, maybe 10-12 songs, with new arrangements to allow her short notes and to almost speak lyrics, and I will say a combined 3-5 minutes of Hollywood Nights - Bob Seger Tribute's formerly strong notes in the entire show. She is a living legend, but I wish she hadn’t gone back on tour when, based upon letting the audience know she was warming up for a final note of a song, she knows she cannot do her songs justice.
